How to: Standard Galaxy Cuff

Kandi How To:

Gold and Pink Galaxy Cuffs by ikandiaddict

Standard Galaxy Cuffs

Lately I have noticed that everyone is making or wanting to make Galaxy Cuffs.
I thought that I would like to kick off my How To segments with something that is trending right now
There will also be a follow up How To on Thursday which will explain how to create a spiral effect to your galaxy cuff. As always questions, comments, and suggestions are welcome!

Materials

Pony Beads (of your chosen colors)
Scissors
Elastic String (do not use fishing line)
Clear Fingernail Polish (apply to knots to help them stay together)

To Start

Begin with making a single of 32 beads.

First Row

Make sure you are thread through a bead.
String on 4 beads
On single count 3 beads and then thread through 4th

String on 4 more beads
On single count 3 beads and thread through 4th
Repeat this all the way around

I tie off after every row but you do not need to do this.

Second Row

Thread into an "edge" bead. They are marked in the photo above by the red line.

String on 5 beads then thread into the same position bead in the next group.
The picture above marks the first bead as red and the one you thread into as yellow
Ex: if you are going left you pick the far left bead in the group then you string into the far left bead on the second group.

Continue around using the same pattern.
The beads you thread into are marked in different colors in the image above.

Again the beads you thread into are marked in the image above but this shows them all the way around instead of a section.
Again I tie off after every row but it is completely up to you.

Row 3

This row repeats the second only you thread on 6 beads instead of 5.

Continuing on

Continue to add to your piece until you reach your desired size.
Remember to add to the bead count of every row.
The average size is about 7 beads to a grow which is about 4 rows.
